Dr. Marie-Hélène Fillion joined Laurentian University in January 2019. She has a multidisciplinary background in geological, civil and mining engineering. She has worked as a project manager in geotechnical engineering in Québec (LVM Inc.) and in research positions at the CREIG Research Chair (Laval University) and at the Lassonde Institute of Mining (University of Toronto). She has Canadian and international research experience with the mining industry in Northern Québec (Glencore) and in South Africa (Anglo American). She is a registered member of the ‘Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec’ (OIQ), of the Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) and of the International Society of Explosive Engineers (ISEE).
